11:15 AM - 3:30 PM	Early Release Care - April Early Release Program--TBD Early Release Trip ProgramsMake the most of those early release school days with our fun and engaging Early Release Care programs!  On scheduled early release days, we'll head out for an afternoon adventure or stick around and enjoy a fun activity.  These trips and activities may include bowling, museums, arcades, movie theaters, farms, ice cream parties, a visit from MAD science, and more!Participants will be transported via bus from their school to the trip destination or walk down to the activity location with recreation staff.  Each program is supervised by our trained recreation staff members to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone.  Space is limited--these tend to fill up quickly, so be sure to register early!Trip/activity calendar will be released soon and updated here as soon as it is finalized.Grades: Pre-K through 5th GradesTime: School Dismissal until 3:30pm  (your child can go to Gull Care for the remainder of the day, for an an additional fee)Transportation: IncludedPrice: $40 per trip/activity

10:00 AM - 12:00 PM	50+ Club Create & Complain - Create & Complain: April New Program for Spring 2026 You're probably wondering what "create & complain" is...well, it's another for "stitch & (insert a word here that starts with B and rhymes with witch)!"  This is a once a month, relaxed social crafting group where creativity (or lack thereof) meets conversation.  Bring whatever you are currently working on--knitting, crocheting, painting, scrap booking, beading, stitching, or any other creative project; any spend a few hours crafting & chatting with friends!  Expect lots of laughter, shared stories, helpful tips, and maybe even a little juicy gossip (the friendly kind, of course!).  Feel free to bring a snack to share if you'd like! 2:15 PM - 4:00 PM	ASL Day Workshop - ASL Day Workshop Celebrate National American Sign Language (ASL) Day with OOB Rec!We will be celebrating ASL Day with an interactive enrichment workshop where participants will move from basic ASL to intermediate ASL through songs and hands-on activities!  This program teaches kids the importance of communication and inclusion.  Whether your child is brand new to ASL or already knows a few signs, this 2-session program is a great way to build new skills and appreciation for this beautiful, inclusive language!Time: After school (2:15pm) until 4:00pmLocation: Jameson ElementaryAges: Grades Pre-K thru 2ndPrice: $10 for the 2 sessionsDates: Monday, April 13th and Wednesday, April 15th

8:45 AM - 4:15 PM	50+ Club Individual Programs - Kowloon & Stone Zoo The Old Orchard Beach Recreation 50+ Club is an exciting way to be connected with many wonderful and active adult within our community and surrounding areas.  For $10 per calendar year, you will get discounted rates on trips and events, as well as preferred registration.  All memberships are from January 1st-December 31st, regardless of registration date.Registration: Pre-registration and pre-payment is required for all programs.  You can register at our office or online.  Non-members can register at an additional $5 per program.Refunds: If we cancel a program, all fees will be returned to your account as an account credit.  If you withdraw 1 week prior to the trip, you will be credited the full amount, unless it is a contracted or ticketed program.  If you cancel within 1 week to the trip, you will receive a full account credit IF we are able to fill your seat with someone else.Program Locations: Unless otherwise noted, all programs and trips take place at and/or depart from the Recreation Office at The Ballpark.Don't wait to register!  Many trips are limited to only 12 participants and some have a minimum requirement to run.  If a program is full, don't dismay!  You can join the wait list and we will do our best to get you in.  If enough participants are on the wait list, we might be able to arrange for a bigger bus or a second trip at a future date!Check out our newest program brochure here!
