11:15 AM - 3:30 PM	Early Release Care - October 2026 Early Release-Pumpkin Valley Farm Early Release Trip ProgramsMake the most of those early release school days with our fun and engaging Early Release Care programs!  On scheduled early release days, we'll head out for an afternoon adventure or stick around and enjoy a fun activity.  These trips and activities may include bowling, museums, arcades, movie theaters, farms, ice cream parties, a visit from MAD science, and more!Participants will be transported via bus from their school to the trip destination or walk down to the activity location with recreation staff.  Each program is supervised by our trained recreation staff members to ensure a safe, enjoyable experience for everyone.  Space is limited--these tend to fill up quickly, so be sure to register early!Trip/activity calendar will be released soon and updated here as soon as it is finalized.Grades: Pre-K through 5th GradesTime: School Dismissal until 3:30pm  (your child can go to Gull Care for the remainder of the day, for an an additional fee)Transportation: IncludedPrice: $40 per trip/activity

7:00 AM - 7:45 PM	The Rat is Back: Boston Bruins vs Florida Panthers - Boston Bruins Matinee Game at TD Garden The Rat is Back:  Bruins vs  Panthers Matinee GameHop aboard the Amtrak Downeaster for a Sunday afternoon in Boston!  Join us as the Boston Bruins take on the Florida Panthers in a 1:00PM matinee at TD Garden.  Former Bruins captain Brad Marchand makes another return to Boston, adding extra excitement to this divisional match-up! We will travel round trip from Saco Station to Boston's North Station, with free time before the game to grab lunch, explore downtown Boston, or visit the Pro Shop.  You will also have a little bit of time after the game as well.Your fee includes: Game ticket and fees, round-trip Amtrak fare, bus transportation to/from Saco Station, and bus parking.Food, drinks, and souvenirs are on your own.This is a family-friendly program, open to ages 5 and older.  Children ages 17 and under MUST be accompanied by a parent or guardian.  Space is limited.  Tickets are non-refundable. Trip DetailsDate: Sunday, November 8th, 2026Departure Time(s): The Bus departs the OOB Rec Department at 7:00am.  The train departs at 7:40am and arrives in Boston at 9:50am.Return Time(s): The train departs Boston at 5:20pm and arrives in Saco at 7:25pm.The bus to the OOB Rec Department should return around 7:45pm.The game begins at 1:00pm.  We have tickets in Section 321 rows 5 and 6.If you have any questions, please reach out to Kira at kclark@oobmaine.com

8:30 AM - 5:30 PM	50+ Club Programs - Friday the 13th Mystery Trip The Old Orchard Beach Recreation 50+ Club is an exciting way to be connected with many wonderful and active adults within our community and surrounding areas.  For $10 per calendar year, you will get discounted rates on trips and events, as well as preferred registration.  All memberships are from January 1st-December 31st, regardless of registration date.Registration: Pre-registration and pre-payment is required for all programs, including free programs. You can register at our office or online.  Non-members can register for an additional $5 per program.Refunds: If we cancel a program, all fees will be returned to your account as an account credit.  If you withdraw 1 week prior to the trip, you will be credited the full amount, unless it is a contracted or ticketed program.  If you cancel within 1 week to the trip, you will receive a full account credit IF we are able to fill your seat with someone else.Program Locations: Unless otherwise noted, all programs and trips take place at and/or depart from the Recreation Office at The Ballpark.Don't wait to register!  Many trips are limited to only 12 participants and some have a minimum requirement to run.  If a program is full, don't worry!  You can join the waitlist and we will do our best to get you in.  If enough participants are on the waitlist, we might be able to arrange for a bigger bus or a second trip at a future date!Check out our newest program brochure here!
