Update for summer camp as of June 23rd, 2025:
Our Summer Camps are filling up FAST, and we want to make sure everyone gets the scoop before it’s too late!
Here is where things currently stand, please note that this could change at any time, and we will do our best to keep this updated.
Little Gulls (Entering K–2nd Grade):
We are FULL! If you need childcare, please get your paperwork in, and we will add you to the waitlist. Campers will be moved off the waitlist on a first come, first served basis.
Big Gulls (Entering 3rd–5th Grade):
This age group has the most availability right now! Don’t wait too long though—spots are still going quickly and space is limited.
Gull Challenge (Entering 6th–8th Grade):
Our overnight camping trips are FULL, but we have started a waitlist. We will move campers from the waitlist on a first come, first served basis—so get your paperwork in if you're still interested and we will do our best to get you in. We still have space for all other weeks of Gull Challenge, so if you want to sign your child up for the entire summer, we will leave a group of kids behind with the Big Gulls at our regular summer camp during those weeks.
Aftercare (all age; 3:30pm-5:30pm):
Weeks 1, 2, 5, 7, and 8 are FULL with a waitlist. All other weeks have extremely limited availability.
Extended Week (all ages; 8/18-8/22):
Extended week is FULL with a waitlist.
Registration opens for summer camp on Tuesday, April 1st, 2025!
We offer summer day camps for kids entering grades K-8!
“Little Gulls” Camp for kids entering Grades K-2
“Big Gulls” Camp for kids entering Grades 3-5
“Gull Challenge” Camp for kids entering Grades 6-8
All forms are available on our website under the "summer camp forms" section of the "general info" tab. You can also pick up forms in the front lobby of our office.
How To Register
1. Get a camp registration form from our website or at the Recreation Department
2. Completely fill out the registration form, making sure to answer ALL questions, applicable supplement forms, and filling out the authorized pick-up list.
3. Bring your completed registration form as well as a non-refundable $100 deposit per child to the Recreation Department.
Payment Information
For those enrolled in our full 8-week program, at least 50% of the camp fee must be paid by June 20th. If you choose the weekly camp option, then the full payment is required by June 20th. The final payment for the 8-week program is due by July 18th. While we do offer payment plans, all payment deadlines remain in effect. Payment plans involve a signed contract with automatic debit or credit withdrawals set up on your account and must be arranged in advance.
Financial assistance is available. You can pick up forms at the recreation office or find them under the 'FORMS' tab. Complete applications for financial assistance are due by May 1st. **Please be aware that if you have an outstanding balance on your account, you will not be able to register for summer camp until it has been settled.
You can NOT register for summer camp yourself online. Forms must be turned in at our office or emailed to oobchildcare@oobmaine.com
