Beach Wheelchairs
Everyone deserves to experience the serenity of a day at the beach! Our beach wheelchair program strives to make the beach accessible and safe for everyone!
We are proud to offer beach wheelchairs for both residents and visitors who may need a little extra support getting out to enjoy the beautiful beaches of Old Orchard Beach! Our beach wheelchair program provides specialized, all-terrain wheelchairs designed to navigate sand, making it easier for individuals with mobility challenges to enjoy a day by the ocean. These chairs are lightweight, easy to maneuver, and available at no cost.
There are beach wheelchairs located at various places throughout the beach, available daily at no charge, on a first-come, first-served basis. We also have 5 beach wheelchairs available at our recreation offices, available for both daily and long term (up to 5 days) use.
